Snowblink

The first incarnation of Snowblink in 2005 included MGMT as boy back-up singers/percussionists/whisperers.  Since then, Daniela Gesundheit has trained over a dozen fellas across the US and Canada to join her when circumstances permit.

She home recorded two keepsake-style, limited edition albums prior to Long Live, (Interim at Afton Villa and My Oh My Avalanche) both of which are currently sold out.

She spent the last three years living in San Francisco, where she assisted her bandmates and dear friends, David Wilson and Frank Lyon of Ribbons Publications putting on outdoor music gatherings in the Bay Area. Some of the featured artists at those events included Lucky Dragons, White Rainbow, Mariee Sioux, Vikingmoses, Pocahaunted, ARP, Nat Baldwin (Dirty Projectors), Angel Deradoorian (Dirty Projectors), Belly Boat, and Extra Life.

Recently, Toronto choreographer Kathleen Rea composed an integrative dance-theater piece with Long Live (Snowblink’s most recent release) as its soundtrack. Rea brought Gesundheit from San Francisco to Toronto to perform Long Live in its entirety with Dan Goldman. It ran the first weekend of July at the Betty Oliphant Theater, and was billed as Toronto’s album release show for Long Live.
Daniela is also an active member of Bruce Peninsula

Luxury Pond

Luxury Pond is the songwriting project of Toronto-based musician Dan Goldman. In addition to writing and performing his own material, Dan plays regularly with Snowblink and Great Aunt Ida. He’s been a member in the Mia Sheard band, Justin Haynes’ John School, Tusks, Maps of the Night Sky, Breaking Sounds, and Kitchenmusik. He’s also created music for modern dance choreographers Jenn Goodwinn, Sara Doucet, Louis Laberge-Cote and Kathleen Rea as well as multi media producer/architect Filiz Klassen.

“Dan Goldman is a songwriter based in Toronto, and his latest project is a group of unusual, tuneful, elegantly textured songs about sharks, boulders, frozen lakes, clay portraits, and the emotions they evoke and reflect. With accompaniments that include gorgeous string quartet arrangements by Owen Pallett (Final Fantasy), the sound-world of Goldman’s songs is lush and fresh.” — WNYC
