In case you were wondering what the fine people of apple crisp have been listening to lately (or who they’ve been interviewing) now you can listen to their weekly CFRC radio shows (on Kingston’s only community radio station CFRC) right here on the Apple Crisp blog.

We start early monday morning with Lindsay’s Monday Indie Morning Wakeup Call: Monday IWC part 1 and Monday IWC part 2 The good stuff starts after the BBC daily news about eight minutes into the first file.

Also on monday, at two thirty, is Laura’s world famous Exploding Plastic Inevitable. It starts halfway into this file: this and continues here: here.

Thursday is an amazing day for apple crispers on CFRC - starting with Paul’s Thursday Indie Morning Wakeup Call Thursday IWC part 1
and Thursday IWC part 2

Thursday afternoon is all Apple Crisp, all the time. At one PM a live concert recorded by Nick is broadcast, and the afternoon continues with Greg’s incomparable interview and music show The Yokal. The first hour of live concerts is here: Concerts part 1

The second half and first half of The Yokal are here:this and The Yokal finishes here: here This week features a great discussion with Julie Doiron.

I’ll be posting these links once a week or so, and don’t forget you can listen live over the air at 101.9FM in Kingston or on the web at http://www.cfrcradio.com/

[...] The Apple Crisp Music Festival (ACMF) went down last week at The Artel, Grad Club and Next Church. The concert was geared towards the high school set who were on March Break, but also drew in spectators across the spectrum. I was a bit surprised when I discovered that the first date of the series fell on St. Patrick’s Day, however based on the reviews I’ve read, scheduling did not negatively impact attendance. I was quite impressed that the Apple Crisp gang brought in fresh faces such as Bruce Peninsula and Timbre Timbre to play alongside hometown favorites including Magic Jordan, and our man Reuben. With the Skeleton Park Music Festival fast approaching, here’s hoping organizers take a page from ACMF and bring in a solid mix of new, old, local and outside acts. I can’t wait to check out the Apple Crisp Music Festival in 2010! In case you missed this year’s throw down, check out the video below featuring deGroot and the Virginia Creepers. You can also listen to CFRC’s podcasts from AFMC by clicking here. [...]
