Apple Crisp Concert

November 27: Bob Wiseman @ The Artel

Posted Sunday, October 25th, 2009 by al | 5 Comments

Friday, Nov. 27th, 7pm (early show!)
@ The Artel (205 Sydenham St.)

Tickets $5 at the door include a year subscription to Syphon.
Apple crisp will be served.

Bob Wiseman is a Canadian singer-songwriter and filmmaker. His music is described as an “outsider” blend of folk, rock and jazz and it is often pointedly political. Wiseman has a substantial discography of solo records, and he has also been a member of several Canadian bands, including Blue Rodeo and the Hidden Cameras. He has a long history of collaborations and tours with other artists including Feist, Final Fantasy, Wilco, and the Wallflowers, to name a few.

Syphon is Modern Fuel’s newly revised, revamped and redesigned newsletter. It will now be a bona-fide full-colour offset-printed tabloid-sized newspaper, with a mandate to include local and national art coverage and expand its readership from our membership to the greater Kingston community and beyond.

Hi Kevin — I’ve just added some additional concert info. No advanced ticket sales for this one — tickets are a mere $5 at the door. You’ll want to be there nice and early to avoid disappointment!

Hi Peggy — doors open at 7pm, and the music will likely start at around 7:30pm. See you there!

    Hello Gertrudes
My wife Sharon and I drove down to Kingston from Ottawa for your show at the Mansion with Lake of Stew.
Having had our brains completely re-wired by your music in Halifax last summer, the Kingston show was a happy reminder of what a glorious racket you folks make. Both your CD’s are in heavy rotation in this household. We look forward to new music in the future, and hopefully will have the pleasure of seeing you in concert again.
    Best wishes
    Reed
