Call to Artists and Writers:
Apple Crisp Records is seeking artists and writers to participate in a collaborative comics-based poster project for the Apple Crisp Zine #5. Artists are encouraged to submit short comic strips or lineart / grayscale illustrations. Writers may submit stories of no more than 250 words. All accepted submissions will be combined by our design team to create a poster for the latest edition of the Apple Crisp Zine.
The theme of the accompanying Apple Crisp record is “Bands In Love,” a concept focusing on the spirit of collaboration: bands recording together and in new configurations, covering one another’s songs and growing their own artistry through the strength and inspiration of their collaborations. In this spirit, we encourage collaborations between artists and writers for the visual content of the zine as well. Artists and writers interested in being paired up to produce collaborative contributions to the zine may let us know and we will suggest partners appropriate to your work.
Participants will also be invited to join us for a drawing jam to help create the cover art for the zine’s packaging.
