The Happiness Project is created to bring art, sound, and a lightness of spirit right into the neighbourhood. This installation creates a space for neighbours from near and far to walk through the doors of a local home and feel truly happy and lightened. The project is based on Charles Spearin’s (of Broken Social Scene and Do Make Say Think) album The Happiness Project, which is a collection of sound recordings of his neighbours’ musings on happiness set to beautiful musical orchestration. Each room in the house is originally designed by an individual or team of artists to reflect and interpret one of the tracks from album. The exhibit features Kingston, Montreal and Toronto based artists.

Come & visit the house.
